Melissa Becker is a choreographer and educator originally from Richmond, VA. Melissa studied Dance and Musical Theater at Shenandoah Conservatory and Dance and Choreography at Virginia Commonwealth University. She began dancing at the age of 2 at Regency Dance Academy, has instructed modern/contemporary/musical theater dance/ballet, and has worked with notable choreographers including Arnott Mader, Judy Steele, Dr. James Frazier, Gesel Mason, and Gerri Houlihan. Melissa loves working with all age ranges of students to develop the passion and artistry of dance and performance. Melissa is currently the Visual Director and Choreographer for the Sweet Adelines International TuneTown Show Chorus, has choreographed numerous musical productions over the years for The Center for the Arts in Murfreesboro, and has provided choreography/staging instruction for local high school performing arts programs. Melissa and her husband of twelve years live in Bellevue with their four kids and two cats, Liza Minelli and Barbra Streisand.
