Registration
Thank you for inquiring about dance classes with the Bellevue Dance Center.
The BDC has been in operation since May of 1995 and currently has an enrollment of over 400 students. Our students range from ages 3 to adult and we offer classes in ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, hip-hop, musical theater, and modern dance.

Pricing
Registration Fees
Registration fees are non-refundable and are required to ensure a student's place in class. Fees are as follows:
Fall - Spring - $20.00 for the first child and $10.00 for each additional child. (this is a one time fee).
August tuition is ½ of a month’s tuition and must be paid along with $20 registration fee to guarantee a spot in your desired class. For example, your August tuition for a 50 minute class would be $50.00.
Tuition
Tuition for one student to take one lesson per week is $60.00 per month for a 50 minute lesson, and $75.00 per month for a 1 hour and 30 minute lesson. A 15% discount is given towards a second class or a sibling's class and 20% for the third class. Tuition remains the same regardless of the number of lessons in the month. If a student wishes to drop a class, no tuition refunds will be given after October 1st, 2009 and for spring semester February 1st, 2010.
Payment Options
- Year Paid in Full with 15% discount - Payment is for September through May as well as costume fee and recital ticket fees for the year. (discount applies only to tuition) This payment is due September 5th, 2009. Discount will not be applied after deadline date.
- Semester Paid in Full with 10% discount - Payment will include tuition for September through December, and another payment for January through May. (discount applies only to tuition) Costume fee and recital ticket fee will be paid in September along with tuition. Payments are due September 5th, 2009 and January 9th, 2010. Discount will not be applied after deadline date.
- Bi-Semester with NO discount - Payments are due September 5 and November 7th for first semester and January 9th and March 6th for second semester. Costume fee and December Recital Ticket fee are due with November payment. Spring Recital Ticket fee is due with January payment. If your account has a balance for more than 30 days and you have not spoken with Melodie, your child will not be allowed to participate in class.
Make-Up Classes and Refund Policy
If a student is ill or misses his/her class for any reason, that class may be made up. Since we have many classes available
for each age and level, refunds or adjustments are not given for missed classes.
Recital Fees
There will be a recital fee of $35.00 for each semester recital per BDC family with each child receiving 4 tickets. Additional tickets will be available to purchase for $5.00 a ticket. Requests for additional tickets need to be submitted to Melodie by December 1st for Winter recital and May 1st for Spring recital. Additional tickets are on a first come first serve basis and will be sold until we run out.
Costume Fees
If your child is in 3 or more classes we do offer a costume payment plan that will be invoiced 2 times per semester. Please come by the office to set this up with Melodie.
- Pink classes (3-4 and 4-5 classes) $50.00 per class
- Light blue classes (5-7 and 6-8 classes) $55.00 per class
- Navy blue classes (7-9 and 8-10 50 minute classes) $60.00
- Black 1 1/2 hour classes $80.00 (Includes hip-hop, modern, advanced, teen and adult classes)
Unfortunately, due to costume companies’ policy, costumes are not returnable and therefore any money paid for costumes is not refundable.
