Lauri Gregoire
Lauri began her dancing, singing and acting career at a young age in her hometown of Worcester, Massachusetts and it was there she discovered her true passion for dance. She received her Bachelor of Performing Arts in Dance Performance from the prestigious Oklahoma City University in 1995. Upon graduation she moved to Nashville where she performed with Opryland USA as a lead dancer. While at Opryland she performed is such shows as, And the Winner Is, Country Music USA, I Hear America Singing, and as a lead dancer on the General Jackson Showboat.
Lauri began teaching at the BDC in January of 1998 and became owner and director in May of 2004. She is also the resident choreographer at the Boiler Room Theatre in Franklin. You may have seen her in such shows as, Chicago, Guys and Dolls, Cabaret, Anything Goes, A Chorus Line, and Will Rogers Follies. Lauri's goal is to bring her passion for dance into the classroom and inspire future dancers to make their dreams come true. |

Angie Hofschulte
Angie is a native of Rochester, Minnesota where she discovered her passion for dance at the young age of 3. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance from the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point. After graduating with honors, Angie relocated to Houston, Texas. There she performed with the Psophania Dance Company and had the opportunity to train with the Ad Deum Dance Company. Since moving to the Nashville area in 2003, she has had the wonderful opportunity to perform at The Grand Ole Opry, dance at a fundraiser for JoDee Messina, tour the south as a back-up dancer for Troma and perform with the ministry UpRock.
In 2010, she became a member of Southern Movement, a hip hop company who competed earlier on America's Best Dance Crew. She traveled to New York and performed at the World of Dance competition with them during the summer of 2010. Since 2006, she has had the amazing opportunity to travel on mission trips every summer with a dance ministry called P.E.A.K. and share the love of God and dance with children around the world. Angie began teaching dance at the young age of 14 and has been on staff at The Bellevue Dance Center since 2003. |

Heidi Sauer
Heidi began dancing at a young age in Rockford, Illinois. Dancing in various drill team, choir, and theatrical performances, her love for the arts only grew. Throughout her school years, she thrived on being involved in the arts as much as possible. She choreographed and performed in multiple theatre productions and was captain of her school dance teams. Heidi was chosen to perform in New York’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2000.
After graduating, Heidi went back to coach the competition squad at her high school and started a dance ministry at her church. She moved to Nashville from the Chicago area in 2003 with a dream to pursue dance. She has taught dance at Eakin Elementary and The Oasis Worship Centre in Nashville and is blessed to have recently joined the team at the Bellevue Dance Center.

Wendy Nash Remick
Wendy is very honored to be a part of the Bellevue Dance Center and is the founder of the studio’s Modern Dance Program. She received her BFA in Performing Arts with Dance emphasis in 1990 from Western Kentucky University. Upon graduating she pursued her love for musical theatre and performed in several shows including, "Unto these Hills", "Peter Pan", "Hans Christian Anderson", "The Ugly Duckling", and "Common Voices", Knoxville’s bicentennial musical.
Wendy has also studied under instructors such as Ron Brown, Mark Taylor, Erik Franklin, and former Pilobolus members Carol Parker and Jack Arnold. This training led her to choreograph and dance for "Foothold Dance Performance" of Milwaukee, Wisconsin for 2 years under the direction of Diane Vanderhai and Tom Thoreson. From 1991-1996 Wendy was an integral member of "Circle Modern Dance" of Knoxville serving as Co-Artistic Director, Choreographer, and performer. Rounding out her experience she has also had the opportunity to work with Conflict Resolution Performance classes with high school students.
In addition to her passion for performing and choreographing, Wendy has been pursuing her other passion, teaching and sharing the love of dance with people of all ages, especially her two sons Liam and Brodi. |

Bob Locknar
Bob received formal dance training from Claudette Soltis (former dancer of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo) of the Joliet Ballet Society. From there, he went on to study dance at Hubbard Street Dance and River North Dance in Chicago. Now in his third year at the studio, he is the resident tap teacher for boys. He is also the proud father of dancers Ava and Ruby who are students at the Bellevue Dance Center. |

Tosha Pendergrast
Tosha was born and raised here in Nashville, and danced at the Bellevue Dance Center from when it opened, until she graduated from Hume- Fogg Academic High School. There, she founded her school’s Dance Club, was an active member in the theater department, and was part of the award winning show choir ‘The Blue Notes’. After high school she went to Oklahoma City University as a Dance Performance major. While in Oklahoma, she was part of The American Spirit Dance Company, OCU Rhythms (the hip hop and step team), the OCU Theater Department, and performed in several school and community events.
She has a passion for dance and has studied at studios including Broadway Dance Center, STEPS on Broadway, and more in NYC and Chicago. She is very privileged to have studied under dancers such as Jo Rowan, Patricia Oplotnik, Robert Reed, Jeremy Kiesman, Jay Fagan, and others such as the talented Bellevue Dance Center staff! It is an honor to be back home where she belongs teaching the great art form of dance. |

Alyssa Maddox
Alyssa Maddox launched her dancing career at a young age-coming from a military family she has trained literally all over the United States and abroad including a year long ballet intensive with the famed Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. Alyssa holds a degree in dance from the University of Georgia, Athens where she had he opportunity to perform with the pre-professional modern dance company, CORE, as well as train with such professionals as Joan LaGhee, Molissa Finley, Kent DeSpain, and Matt Kent of Pilobolus. Other training includes jazz with Cornelius Carter of the University of Alabama, Limon technique with Alan Danielson in New York, and two years at Brenau University under Vincas Green and Carol Smiarowsky.
Alyssa has served as Adjunct Professor for Brenau University and Junior Company Director for The Gainesville Ballet. Her choreography credits include works for Belmont University's Musical Theatre Program: Grease, The Drowsey Chaperone, and Anything Goes. Along with various works for The Gainesville Theatre Alliance and original choreography for Marcus Hummons's The Piper, performed by Actor's Bridge Ensemble Nashville, TN. For the past 12 years, Alyssa has choreographed and taught both classical ballet and contemporary dance forms to students of all ages at private studio's such as Metro Dance Company (Decatur, GA), Gainesville School of Ballet (Gainesville, GA), Heather Wayne's Performing Arts Dance Academy (Flowery Branch, GA), and Carthage Dance Academy (Carthage, TX), and Martelly's School of Ballet (Marshall. TX). She is excited to finally call Nashville, TN "home" and to teach the amazingly talented students here at the Bellevue Dance Center.
